Kimberly and David’s North Burleigh Surf Club wedding was a very detailed affair with a huge amount of thought put into every little detail of the wedding. It was quite impressive, especially since the couple, who are originally from the Gold Coast, now live in Melbourne and organised the wedding by distance.
When we arrived at the girl’s room at Ambience on Burleigh Beach the room was styled perfectly for photography with everything laid out and ready to go. The atmosphere was very relaxed and excited and the girls were enjoying a glass of bubbles. The guys also got ready in the same hotel and we were fortunate to get the image of them on the balcony with no one else in the scene.
The ceremony was held on North Burleigh Beach in front of the surf club and it was a great day for it, despite the wind. Kimberly and David’s nephews provided ‘ring security’ for the event and were overjoyed when the couple were pronounced husband and wife, celebrating with fist pumps. It was a great moment and got a great response from the crowd.
For the bridal party images we headed to the north side of North Burleigh Hill where the group enjoyed some drinks and canapes. This location is always great for the beautifully textured rock backgrounds and on this occasion the tide was out which meant we also used the opportunity to get some images on rocks with the green moss exposed. The wet sand on low tide works perfectly for reflection images and the sunset and cloudless sky provided some fantastic pastel landscapes. It was a stunning afternoon with a lot to work with.
At the reception the dance floor was put to great use with ring security once again taking centre stage and dancing the night away.
Thank you Kimberly & David, it was a pleasure to spend your special day with you!
