Cara & Jonathan

Toowoomba, QLD 4350

We were spoilt for choice when it came to our shooting opportunities at Jonathan and Cara’s spring time Toowoomba wedding. The ceremony was held at the Bride’s family home adding a perfect feeling of personality and history to the small and intimate affair.  Dark rain clouds threatened rain, but cleared just in time for the ceremony and allowed it to go ahead under an impressive flowering Jacaranda. These trees seem to pop up everywhere in Queensland during Spring and make for stunning image backdrops.

Jonathan also happens to be my second shooter and shooting his and Cara’s wedding brought mixed emotion. It was both a pleasure and, well, no pressure at all, right? Sure.  In truth, it was an awesome experience. Jonathan knew what to expect and when we arrived to capture him and his best men getting ready he had everything prepared. All the details were laid out and the group were relaxed and ready for the camera. Again, the heritage home added to the overall story of the day.

Jonathan and Cara did all their location scouting and choose some fantastic backdrops for their images.  At one spot in front of an old shed, a neighbour had just finished mowing his lawn so we called him over for some impromptu modelling. He was a great sport, a little reluctant at first, but went along with our request and it added a fun element to the day and to the images.

It was an honour to capture your wedding celebrations, Jonathan and Cara.
